This CADS program operates out of Snow Valley Resort near Barrie. The program will begin the weekend of January 13/14, 2024. There will be two sessions offered on the program day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, times to be determined.
Our students have a range of challenges – Paraplegia, Autism Spectrum Disorder, CP, Polio, MS, Down syndrome, and others – and are of all ages. Each student is screened to determine his or her equipment and instructional needs, and then matched with trained volunteer instructors and assistants.
The six week program of lessons, including any special equipment, is provided at a cost of $155. This cost does not include the mandatory CADS membership. CADS membership can be purchased/renewed here.

HELMETS
Skiing has inherent risk and safety is our top priority. Helmets are required for all volunteers and students. They are available at Snow Valley Resort for a nominal charge.
VOLUNTEERS
We need your help!
No prior experience necessary. You supply the enthusiasm and love of skiing and we’ll give you the training you need.
All Adaptive Instructors should be strong intermediate skiers.
All volunteers participate in training, starting with an orientation session.
New Volunteers will receive complimentary lift tickets for all program and training dates. Returning volunteers, with the assessment of the Program Director, may receive passes for free skiing. These passes are provided through the generous support of Snow Valley Resort.
Volunteers are required to become a member of the CADS organization to participate – a $42 fee provides you with membership and insurance.
