18 Sep 2026/27 Race training and events
The Performance Develpment Program will offer a variety of training sessions in various locations for all CADS members who are interested in learning to turn around gates, and consider attending an entry level race in February.
The first session will be in January, dates and locations will TBA in November.
There is a possibility of a training camp our west in mid January, and details will follow in November.
Any programs that wish to host a training session, at their resort should reach out to gwen@cadsontario.ca to schedule their sessions ASAP.
The Ontario Para Winter Games are being held Feb. 19-21, 2027 hosted by Brantford, with Para Alpine competing at Boler Mountain in London.
This is an entry level event, that most independent para skiers could manage, as the terrain is a short ‘light blue’. Any CADS members with a physical disability, are welcome to come out to training sessions to give it a go.
(Athletes who are Neurodiverse are encouraged to connect with Special Olympics, if they would like to race. Unfortunately, their race is at the end of January, which would be too early for most of our CADS members, to be prepared.)
Canada Winter Games are taking place in Quebec, next March. Para Alpine skiers with more experience may be able to consider entering. Training sessions will be provided for eligible candidates.
Further information will be provided in upcoming Newsletters.
